CITY OF LAREDO THANKSGIVING CLOSURE NOTICE
City of Laredo administrative offices will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday November 27, 2009 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Protective and emergency services will be operational.
Please be aware that there will be NO trash or recycling pick-up on Thursday or Friday. Also, the City of Laredo Landfill will be closed on Thursday, but will re-open during regular hours of operation, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2009, weather permitting and closed on Saturday, November 28, 2009. The Landfill will be closed on Saturday, November 29, 2008. Garbage and recycling/branch pick-up collection schedules will resume on Monday, November 30, 2009 on regularly scheduled routes. The recycling drop off site located at 2200 McPherson will be closed Thursday and Friday, but will be open on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Laredo Public Library and the Bruni Plaza Branch will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, 2009. The El Metro bus schedule and El Lift bus service for the two-day holiday will be as follows:
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2009: Sunday Service
Day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 27, 2009: Regular Service
The City of Laredo Municipal Court will also be closed on Thursday and Friday. Individuals scheduled to appear in court that day have a minimum of 10 working days to make an appearance. Contact Municipal Court for more information at 794-1680.
City of Laredo administrative offices will re-open on Monday, November 30, 2009, during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is on Monday, December 7, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers
